During the stay, the intern will receive a monthly financial help that will cover the accommodation (housing and food), a return trip from the destination country, an insurance policy (against accidents and civil liability, and travel assistance) is also included, which will not suppose any additional cost for your company. Optionally you can assign an additional financial help to the intern.

Economic aspects of the grant
The grant holder receives from the ARGO GLOBAL Program the following economic package:
- A monthly payment for accommodation and living expenses which varies depending on the geographic area where the internship takes place: Click here to see the frame with more economic details. Even if the grant holder is the one in charge of looking for accommodation, it would be very supportive if you could assist him as far as possible.
- Accident, civil liability, health and travel insurance. You will soonly be able to access a summary to the policy conditions by clicking here: EUROPE - REST OF THE WORLD.
- Reimbursement of the entire journey. The outward journey must be undertaken within the 15 days before the grant starts and the return journey must be undertaken within the 15 days following the end of the grant.
- Visa processing and formalities costs (except expedition costs in presence of the authorities of each country) in the specifically appraised circumstances.
Although the company is not obliged to give the beneficiary any type of economic contribution, this possibility is offered him (whether money or in kind) with the purpose of supplementing, as far as possible, the economic quantity of the grant and to encourage the grant holder to work within the company’s activity. Companies which bring an economic complement will have the priority at the time of welcoming grant holders.

Visa
Securing visas is an essential part of the ARGO GLOBAL Program because countries involved —the United States, Canada and Asia— require the interns to hold the appropriate visas.
Foundation for the Promotion in Asturias of Applied Scientific Research and Technology (FICYT) will cooperate with organizations that sponsor the ARGO GLOBAL program within the United States and Canadian Governments, authorized by the United States Information Agency (USIA) to issue the necessary certificates of eligibility required for J-1 Visas (program for exchange visitors J-1 Exchange Visitor Visa) for Spanish citizens and for international companies and organizations with a Spanish component.
The ARGO GLOBAL interns will be given the DS-2019 form (Certificate of Eligibility for Exchange Visitors) once they have been accepted into the program. The interns may then request the J-1 Visa at the US or Canadian Consulates, submitting the required documents.
In the case of Asia, we will help the intern with the visa paperwork depending on the destination country.

Candidate selection
To supply every concerned part (grant holder / company) with the best profiles that match the internship offer, the ARGO GLOBAL management’s team will carry out a pre-selection process, respecting the availability and conditions expressed by the companies, and also the skills and preferences indicated by the candidates.
Once the ARGO GLOBAL management team has gathered the best profiles that match a particular internship offer, candidates will be informed of their inclusion in the preselecting process, and will also receive information about the tasks associated with the internship, the destination country and the expected starting date of the stay.
The ARGO GLOBAL management team will notify the company via e-mail when there is a group of candidates available, for it to make the final selection (we will communicate at least 3 candidates). The company will have direct access to the curricula of the candidates at its private profile area within the system.
In addition to the analysis of the CVs, the company can also use additional selection tools: telephone interviews, request for cover letters or any other type of supplementary information.
The company will confirm the selection of its grant holder via the system in its private area of the webpage.
The ARGO GLOBAL management team will be available to companies at any time, to answer to any further questions they should have, or to provide any support they may require through the process.
